breathe easy my friend.
last night was the first time i went to a show in forever. i literally haven't been to a show in almost 9 months. that i can remember, anyhow. i saw john vanderslice at rubber gloves last night & it was a good show. john was such a nice guy & really appreciative that we were there. i must say though that i liked the cd sound better. there were more people on stage & the second guys backing vocals did nothing for me. i bought another of his cd's cause all i had was a promo copy & i'm a slut for having the final release as well. so i bought that and as we were leaving i started to read the liner notes & saw that bill swan played on trombone. i made david turn the car around so i could go ask if that was bill swan of beulah fame. they kinda laughed & said that yes it was & that i 'won the indie rock prize'.
yeah, i felt fucking stupid.
but beulah is one of my favorite bands & i just had to know. i got drunk last night too which i haven't done outside of this house or at a restraunt with mom in so long. it felt nice to be out laughing & drinking with a friend. i've missed it, palys!
and because all of you voted for me, i won immunity on my survivor game. thanks so much to you all.
and maggie, i'm not dead.
